THIS IS TO NOTIFY YOU THAT THE 6TH ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING OF THE WORLD MEMON ORGANIZATION WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, 25TH MAY 2008 AT MADINAT JUMEIRAH, DUBAI AT 2.30 PM. YOU ARE REQUESTED TO ATTEND THE MEETING ON TIME. Abba Ali Yousuf, Secretary General A G E N D A 1. Recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an and Translation. 2. Welcome Address by the President of the WMO. 3. Minutes of the Previous Meeting held on 14th April 2007 (Attached). 4. To receive and approve the Report of the WMO Board of Management. – Presentation by the Secretary General. 5. To receive and approve the Accounts of the WMO for year ended 31st December 2007. 6. To appoint Auditor/s in accordance with Clause 32 of the WMO Constitution. 7. To consider and if thought fit, pass the following Special Resolutions (duly approved by the BoM) for an amendment in the WMO Constitution: RESOLVED THAT: the Clause 24.3 shall be amended as follows: “Office Bearers elected for their first term of 2 years shall not be re-elected to the same office for more than 3 consecutive terms whenever a new Board is elected or appointed. This provision shall become effective as from the Annual General Assembly Meeting held in 2008.” 8. To elect Members of the Board of Management in accordance with sub-clauses 21.2.3 and 22 of the WMO Constitution. 9. To receive and approve the Annual Budget and Plan of Action for the years 2008 and 2009. 10. Any other matters with the permission of the Chair. 11. Conclusion of the meeting with a vote of thanks to the Chair.
World Tour - Mumbai India

I would like to share my experience of attending the WMO event, held in Mumbai India, on the 30th of December 2007. All the Meetings were Held at the Sahara Star Hotel, which was the most comfortable and elaborate hotel for such an event. It is also furnished with the most advanced equipment for such a meeting. The WMO India Chapter meeting was held on the 30th of December 2007 and was attended by approximately 4,000 people. The attendees included 1,000 students, accompanied by their parents, who were awarded scholarships by the WMO. A large number of representatives of various Memon Jamat's from all parts of India and foreign delegates were also present at the ceremony. This gathering was also attended by some prominent Ministers of the Government of India. It was the most successful event in the history of WMO in India. The people behind this auspicious event were Mr. Mohammad Farouk Sodagar Darvesh and his brothers, who were the sole sponsors of the entire event of 29th and 30th December 2007, in Mumbai. Farouk Bha made a tremendous effort in putting together such a major undertaking of the event especially taking into account the passing of their beloved brother, Shehzaad Bha, who always participated whole heartedly in all Charitable Projects. May Allah provide him the Best place in Jannatul Firdaus and give Sabbar to his family. We make dua for the entire Sodagar Darvesh family for their many good endeavours and charitable deeds for the poor and needy around the world. Mumbai Tour Photo Gallery:
